dum spiro, spero
my name is Jillian. I'm somewhat outspoken, kind of stubborn, overly compassionate, and eternally optimistic, and these are my ridiculous, irrelevant, sometimes amazing, hardly genius, thoughts on life.
I have Cystic Fibrosis, a chronic lung disease. "dum spiro, spero" is latin for "as long as I breathe, I hope." I have this tattooed on to my wrist as a daily reminder that when all else fails, I still have hope. If there's anything that "being sick" has taught me, it's that life is precious, time is precious, but as long as you still have even the tiniest glimmer of hope to hold onto, you're going to be okay.
